On this project I was working with another waller from the area, this is my first contract working in the north of england.

The wall was rebuilt in the local style (traditional pennine) a though stone every meter at knee height.

The stone was reused from the old wall, the type of  stone was local sandstone.

This is the current project I am working on, building stone over concrete block to create the effect of a traditional build.

The stone work has yet to be pointed and air vents fitted. I've copied a template of an original iron vent to be more in keeping with a tradition build.

The client commissioned me to also build doors made to fit the two openings left in the extension.

As an extra for the client I decided to make replica steel air vents to suit the original cast iron ones as I felt modern plastic ones would have spoiled the build.

This is a date stone which I was working on in my spare time. The stone was a rough piece of granite. I had to dress the stone to put a new face on it before I could inscribe the date.
